Some Thoughts For You
I would love to live in the space shared between our heartbeats
And drink the sweet waters that swirl and change within our minds.
If there was a way to stay in the curls of your hair-do
I would give it all up for you.
If I could find that sticking place
Where love had no ending or beginning
And time stopped everything around us
Then sadness and pain would utterly vanish
Could there possibly be such a wondrous state
Where my fantasy didn't conflict with your passion?
Would the sky give it up in a sudden exodus
And the stars stop their eternal winking?
If my thoughts and my actions have subtle discrepancies
It's only because of my human nature.
I don't have control over such predilections
So you've got to be patient with me...
Later...
A poem for Rudy ;P
My love has flown across the pond
To lands afar where battles won
And lost were fought in times of old
Before the world had moved on
Though this is good; to have some time
To spend away from my dear love,
It makes the day seem hours longer
Than it really is.
I see her name throughout the day
In places where I look for work
It gives me warm and fuzzy feelings
Thinking of her now.
So in her absence it is my goal
To document the things that I enjoy
About her and in every way
This is the list I have composed:
Her flesh, a merry gesticulation
Like the potential for some lurid demonstration
I would heartily partake in her frolicsome nature
And delight in obtaining that favor.
A braid of light in the air about her
Is most likely unseen by the gathering masses
But to me it unfolds like some tenuous flower
Awaiting a kiss from the morning dew.
Like songs sung by nature in silent green pastures
Her voice describes patterns of change in the air
A nymph, rest assured, yes a marvelous specimen
Tossing her hair in a flirtatious fashion.
This swanky lover so wantonly speaks
Of worlds beyond our wildest imaginings
Things that she has seen, no doubt in her dreams
Are the things that she shares with those around her.
So these are my thoughts, well at least some of them
I hope that she likes them and I'm hoping that when
She comes back from Europe and I've forgotten this prose
I'll remember how dearly I cherish her so!
